I grew up and graduated from Sterling, Nebraska in 1998. I started out working as a clinical Dietetic Technician after graduating from Southeast Community College – Lincoln in 2002. In 2007 I decided to go back to school for Dental Hygiene. I graduated from University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene.
I joined the Optimal Dental team in September of 2017 as a part-time Dental Hygienist. Earlier in my career I worked full-time as a Dental Hygienist in a general dental practice in Kearney. I taught at Creighton School of Dentistry in the Community and Preventative Dentistry Department, and with the Dental Hygiene Program at Iowa Western Community College. I have also worked on multiple grant funded programs in Lincoln and in Omaha to serve and provide low income children and adults improved access to dental care.
I enjoy being able to meet and build relationships with new people. I am passionate about health and prevention, so I love educating patients on how oral health plays an important role in our overall health.
My husband and I were married in 2010, and have two sons; Matthew born in 2013 and Andrew in 2015. When I’m not working as a Dental Hygienist or carpooling the little ones, I’m fulfilling my duties as a military wife.
